Meet Lily

About Lily Kadera

My photography roots began when I was a Journalism student attending Falmouth University in Cornwall. Since 2018, I have loved experimenting with all genres of photography but most of all, I have loved capturing the scenes of a performance and restauranteur atmosphere.

  • I started learning the camera technicalities in 2018 when I switched from studying Journalism and Communications to Press & Editorial Photography at Falmouth University, Cornwall

  • I use Canon, the 5d Mark iii which is a joyous companion, I used to use Nikon and even though I liked the old-fashioned effect N’s cameras provide, Canon is lighter to carry so that is pretty much the only reason why I switched haha

  • There are more snippets than projects as a whole I am proud of, and what comes to me first is the feeling I got from being behind the decks photographing Tribe’s Ibiza-themed event as I would never get that close to subjects during my univeristy years, so I was very proud I had come so far in terms of confidence. Later on in that year are the scallop shots from the Acre Farm Supper Club campaign - the lighting from the subject’s torch gave them the glowing touch, needless to say cooking scallops on a barbeque on a cold December night isn’t common so I’m proud to have these insightful images in my portfolio.

  • Whilst building my photography business on the side, I work full-time at a Law Firm which specialises in Family, Wills and Probate and Conveyancing, all going hand-in-hand. Creative I know haha, but I love helping people, and legal practice has actually been useful for disclaiming the humdrum but fundamental part of running a business to clients - privacy policies and TOC’s. As well as spending time behind a desk, I practise Pilates and love to get up and sing slow Jazz and Blues rock, plus many other things!

  • Currently I am working on putting a spotlight onto my print shop which I launched back in October ‘24. I’m working out ways in which they can be more affordable to all and make some exciting collaborations!
